John Calvin

John Calvin (1509-1564) was an influential French theologian and pastor during the Protestant Reformation who was central to the development of reformed theology, also known as Calvinism. His systematization of Protestant thought in the Institutes of the Christian Religion is a seminal work in Christian theology that altered the course of Western history and that is still read by theological students today.

Ulrich Zwingli

Ulrich Zwingli (1484-1531) was a prominent leader of the Protestant Reformation and is regarded as the founder of Swiss Protestantistm. Though Zwingli is lesser known than Luther, he was a contemporary of Luther and his theology and work was continued by Heinrich Bullinger and the great Geneva reformer, John Calvin.
