Years ago, readers could trust the description "large print" as being a standard size of type, easy readable by anyone at arm's length. But somewhere along the way the phrase became a relative term. It now means the print is larger than usual for whatever size bible it is in. For example, a pocket-size bible with 9-point type is labeled as large print - even though it is virtually microscopic to anyone north of 50. Well, Nelson has given a new lease on life to standardized large print size. Their "Super Giant Print" is a reliably and truly large type that is specifically designed for farsighted readers. They have a complete bible in this type size. It is by necessity a very large (though highly affordable) bible, great for reading at a desk or table but not very portable. Thankfully, this New Testament in Super Giant Print offers a fantastic lightweight alternative you can take anywhere - and easily read in your hands. The leather-look edition is very handsome and the paperback version is definitely a clean, no-nonsense copy. I would highly recommend the latter for bulk purposes such as senior bible studies. Also, the red letter portions are distinct but subtle - not a neon red. I've always wanted a portable giant print New Testament for daily use. This is it!

Awesome Bible. Extremely pleased with this purchase. Great gift for those who who have issues with sight and don't want to sit in their favourite chair holding on to a large bible. Jesus words in red helps to make it more personal. Anyway to each his or hers own decision. But !!! If you want quality and strong packaging to be part of your delivery especially if it's a gift for someone then by all means don't hesitate to indulge in the word of God with class.
