Getting the 2020 edition of the NIV (New International Version) Study Bible, fully revised, will give you the most comprehensive and up-to-date full Biblical text. This contains the fifth and most complete revision, along with an in-depth NIV concordance.

This Bible is over-flowing with many items to examine the scriptures as thoroughly as wanted. New or updated notes based on the latest discoveries have been added, along with over one hundred new articles. There are fourteen full-color maps with a map index. A cross reference system appears in a center column of the text which can be used to study concepts or specific words.

Three symbols have been used to highlight types of materials: the trowel, for notes discovered from archaeology; the seedling, for notes that have personal application; and the character, for notes that contain descriptions or characterizations of individuals or people groups.

This Bible contains a treasury of features such as the words of Jesus in red, each of the sixty-six books contains an introduction page which attempts to answer the five W's--the who, what, where, when and why questions about each account. Lots of eye appeal comes from the many pictures and the generous use of color sprinkled throughout the pages.

I enjoyed the large 10.5 point front size in this volume, but it is also available in 7.5 and 9-point fonts. This is a substantial volume which has 2,512 pages, and weighs in at 5.2 pounds. This Bible contains so many things, I could not list them all. I recommend this five-star Bible to everyone who wants an exhaustive and in-depth Biblical study.

This is an amazing Bible that is so full of information! I found myself reading endlessly as it opened so much up through the wonderful study notes and color pictures. I love the color pictures and colored maps throughout! It helps to have deeper explanation and understanding of the area where these things are taking place and about the people.

One thing I found myself doing was reading through the biographical information that is in this Bible. Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible and it explains what the book of Job is about but then went into who Job was as a man. I thought this was so interesting and gave me a more rounder understanding of who he was and the times he lived in. There is a lot of information like this throughout.

I love the heavier paper that is in this Bible and the comfort print text. It makes it so much easier to read! Even the study notes, which are a bit smaller, are easier to read. The only con to this Bible is that it's quite heavy. I am using it on my desk where I study so it stays in one place, however, to carry it around would definitely be difficult for me.

If you want a Bible that has everything, this Bible is for you. It has the study notes that will guide you as you read plus much, much more! I absolutely love this Bible and I think you will, too! I give it 5 stars.

Contains all the great features of previous editions (book intros, annotations, maps, cross references, concordance etc.) and adds more. Notes have been updated, 125 excellent topical articles added, and clear comfort print is used throughout. I highly recommend this balanced, thorough study Bible!

I love the NIV 2011 version and this Bible is just packed with helpful articles, study notes, maps, photos, archaeology photos of Bible artifacts, among other helpful aids such as timelines, charts, and so on. I use this SB as my daily reading Bible, and only wish more would appreciate the NIV translation. So many are ignorant and have not taken a course or two on textual criticism and criticize the NIV in ignorance.

I have been overwhelmingly pleased by the rich resources of this study Bible. The editorial position is always balanced, and when scholars disagree, opposing points of view are presented clearly. Verse by verse footnotes explain the text, while longer articles explore the bigger picture. I can hardly put it down.
