Someone gave me one of these, which is how I discovered the CSB translation. It's my new favorite translation for everyday reading. I grew up with the KJV and it was my only translation for 35 years so I know it like the back of my hand and honestly kind of get bored reading it now. The CSB translation makes reading the Bible seem new again. I do agree with others that, even though they used the minority texts, they should have done like the new LSB translation and left them inline with brackets around them, rather than relegate them to a footnote which unserious readers might miss, but, since I know the KJV so well, I just fill in the banks in my head while reading, and I don't know why the "spiritually mature" KJV onlyists can't seem to do the same. If one knows their preferred translation well enough, one should be able to read any translation with no problems: just use your superior wisdom and knowledge of the translation of a fifteenth century Scottish Calvinist monarch which the translators on the first page slavishly call "worshipful," to correct the text as you go!

Wording, presentation, usefulness is fine. BUT, the font size is so small that it seriously effects reading. Add to this that that surface of the paper is 'rough', the words are more difficult to read.

I operate a jail and buy Bibles for inmates that request one. Most inmates want a Bible translated into plain English, since KJV is hard to understand. I personally have used KJV, NIV, and HCSB. I prefer HCSB, as NIV has "omitted" approximately 16 verses throughout the Bible that are in KJV. I was mistaken and thought CSB would be the same translation as HCSB, since the Bible was printed by Holman. I was wrong. The CSB translation also omits the same verses as NIV. Therefore, I will not be reordering CSB translations in the future.
